About

Megan Bengtson joined PJ Morgan Real Estate as the Residential Sales Director and REALTOR® in 2022. Megan’s contagious personality, tenacity, and drive are what make her a great leader. She founded The Apex Group and has been a force in the Omaha real estate market since getting her license in 2005.

She found her passion working in residential real estate while finishing her Communications Studies degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She knew she wanted to help others, and real estate was the perfect avenue to do so. She genuinely loves what she does, and guiding buyers and sellers through the real estate process to move their story forward is her mission. Her foundation is built on strong communication skills with her clients, superior service, and building community through her expansive network with other professional realtors. It’s no wonder past clients continue to use her as their advisor and confidant as well as send her referrals.

Megan is incredibly driven, and it shows through the many accolades she has received throughout her real estate career. She has received her CRS designation which recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. It is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers, and brokers. She also has her GRI designation. Obtaining this designation Megan made the commitment to provide a high level of professional service to clients by securing a strong educational foundation. Along with her long list of accomplishments, Megan is also the current President of the Omaha Area Board of REALTORS® (OABR).

Megan isn’t the only one involved in real estate in her family. Her husband Aaron owns a remodeling company, Highrock Design.Build.Remodel. They have two daughters, Emma and Cameran, and an adorable dog, Cooper. When she isn’t busy doing all things real estate, Megan loves hanging out with family and friends. In the summer she can be found by the lake enjoying the water and some wine!

We had a fantastic experience selling our house with Megan. We actually only met face-to-face once; we had to move cross-country before we were able to get our house on the market and Megan handled everything for us splendidly. Our house was under contract within 72 hours of listing with a backup offer.

Selling a house can be a very stressful process (having done so four times in the past seven years, we would know!) and doing so remotely even more so, but working with Megan eliminated a great deal of the usual stress. She contacted us regularly to keep us updated, always responding to our questions and concerns right away, and was proactive about dealing with the few issues that came up. She also stayed on top of all the annoying little intricacies and details involved in selling a house, meaning we never had to worry about any of them—which was invaluable with us so far away.

We were put in some tough situations with having a short timeline to find a house and close. Day of our close, Megan really stepped up to the plate by having us delay the closing as there was a very bad hail storm a few days prior and wanted to get everything checked out before we signed. That had to be a hard situation to be in as we had the pens in our hand when she stopped everything. She saved our butts by being on the ball. She was able to get two roof inspectors over to the house the same day and not stated there were anywhere from 6-10k in damages. Unfortunately, the seller’s insurance company adjuster could not make time to inspect the house until 13 days from the original closing day. Long story short Megan figured out a plan “B” if for some reason the adjuster stated they were not going to cover any of the damages. Stay tuned for the results of that as the adjuster appointment is in 9 days. All in all it was a crazy whirlwind of a closing day which turned out fine due to Megan being on the ball.

Megan came as a recommendation from our building agent. On our first meeting, she was very well prepared and was able to give us realistic expectations based on the current market. She was always available to answer any questions we had. The centralized showing service was easy to use and was super convenient for us to just text an answer for showing times.
